Reworked Garments — Independence and Trade Mark Notice
Lolly & Lotus Ltd | Last updated: 27/07/2026
1. What a reworked garment is
Alongside genuine second-hand designer clothing, we make and sell reworked garments.
A reworked garment is a new, one-off item constructed by us, by hand, from panels and components salvaged from two or more separate second-hand garments, each sourced independently and each already at the end of its usable life in its original form.
A single reworked pair of jeans might, for example, combine panels cut from a worn-out pair of designer jeans, a pair of high-street or workwear jeans, and army surplus fabric — three unrelated garments, from three unrelated makers, none of which we had any hand in producing, cut down and rebuilt into a single new pair.
The result is a composite item. It is not attributable to any one of its source garments, and it is not a repaired, restored, resized, customised or otherwise altered version of any of them. Each source garment contributes material to the finished piece; none of them is the finished piece.
We maintain internal records identifying the source garments used in each item, and can produce them on request.
2. No affiliation with any brand
Lolly & Lotus Ltd is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, licensed by, connected to, or working in collaboration with any clothing brand, fashion house, designer, manufacturer or rights holder.
No reworked garment sold by us is:
- an official or authorised product of any brand;
- produced under licence from any brand;
- a collaboration, capsule, partnership, special edition or "x" release involving any brand;
- authenticated, inspected, graded, guaranteed or supported by any brand.
Where a reworked piece combines materials from garments originally made by two or more different companies, that combination is our own work and reflects no relationship, agreement or association between those companies, or between them and us.
Any suggestion to the contrary, however it arises, is incorrect.
3. Brand marks, labels and tags
Some reworked pieces retain original labels, tags or stitching on individual panels, as an artefact of the material's history. Where a mark appears, it identifies the origin of that panel only. It does not indicate the maker, approval, endorsement or authentication of the finished garment, which is made solely by Lolly & Lotus Ltd. A finished piece may carry marks from more than one unrelated maker; this reflects the mixed origin of the materials and nothing more.
4. Why a brand may be named
Where we identify the origin of a source material — for example, stating that a piece includes panels cut from a particular maker's jeans — that reference is descriptive only. It tells you where that fabric came from before we cut it up. It is a statement about material provenance, not about who made, approved or stands behind the finished item.
All trade marks, brand names, logos and product names referred to on this site are the property of their respective owners. We claim no rights in them and use them only where necessary to describe our materials accurately and honestly.
Reworked garments are designed, made and sold under our own name. They are not sold under, or as, any third-party brand.
5. No brand warranty, service or authentication
Because a reworked garment is a new item made by us from mixed materials, no brand associated with any source garment provides any warranty, guarantee, repair service, aftercare, authentication, spare parts or customer support for it.
Any warranty or guarantee attaching to a reworked garment is given by Lolly & Lotus Ltd alone.
We do not represent that a reworked garment holds, retains or carries over any authenticity, valuation, collectability or resale value from any garment it was made from. Reworked pieces should not be bought as an investment in, or as a substitute for, an original branded item.
6. Condition and expectations
Reworked garments are made from used and often heavily worn materials. Visible wear, fading, repairs, patina, mismatched tones between panels, irregular stitching and variation across the piece are inherent characteristics, not faults. Sizing may be irregular where panels of different original sizes are combined; we give measurements rather than relying on labelled sizes. Each listing describes the specific condition of that specific piece, and the photographs show the actual item you will receive.
7. Your rights as a customer
Nothing in this notice affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection law. Goods we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and we remain responsible for that.
If any item arrives and is not as described, contact us at help@lollyandlotus and we will put it right.
8. Rights holders
We take intellectual property seriously and want to get this right.
If you are a brand owner, rights holder or authorised representative and you believe any listing, image or description on this site infringes your rights or misrepresents a relationship with your brand, please contact us at legal@lollyandlotus.com with the specific URL or product reference and the nature of your concern.
We will acknowledge within 3 working days, review promptly, and remove or amend anything that should not be there. We would far rather hear from you directly than have you find a problem elsewhere.
